The Garden Edit
I have scoured the web to bring you the best in all things outdoors – from garden furniture and lights to the perfect Japanese secateurs.
I have been thinking of putting together a Garden Edit for a long time. I am not exactly an expert gardener (there is a reason why my home is decorated mainly with dried flowers), but I have lived in the UK long enough that this country’s obsession with gardening has finally rubbed on me. I am lucky to have a little patch of green in our London Victorian Home. It’s not big by any means, but it’s a luxury I do not take for granted – especially after having lived for almost a decade in a tiny one-bed flat on a busy street in Shoreditch.
I dream of a (hopefully near) future when I’ll be spending my Sundays pottering around in the Garden, and I’ll be able to discern my geraniums from my alliums with the same ease with which I can tell apart Linguine from Fusilli. The weather this summer has certainly not helped with my timeline so far, but I am hopeful that July will bring us warmer, drier days.
This edit is the result of my research trying to channel my inner PGG (Perfect Gardening Gentlelady). I hope that – whether you already are a consummated PGG, you are at the manifesting stage like me, or you are simply browsing to find the perfect gift for someone you love – you’ll find something to take your fancy in this guide.
Because it took me a quite considerable time to put together, I have decided to put this article behind a paywall, in the hope that it will encourage more of you to support my writing and my work here on Substack. If you are already one such supporter – THANK YOU! No, really. You’ll be able to view the full list of items (there’s more than I’ve shown in the cover collage), as well as all my other subscriber-exclusive articles.
One last note. Whilst a couple of links contain affiliates, the vast majority does not. Either way (and as always with my edits) all the items shown are all things I genuinely love.
Happy gardening!
