Renovation Series: 7 things I would do over in my home
Hindsight is a wonderful thing...and the mother of all regrets.
I’m kicking off a new Series, and it’s all going to be about the process of renovating our home: the highs and lows, the does and don’ts, the inspiration and the reality. Oh and did I mention floorplans? We all love those don’t we.
Before I delve deeper into each room of my house and how the process unfolded (stay tuned for future episodes), I thought it might be useful to start by sharing some of my renovation regrets – things I didn’t manage to get round to, things I underestimated, or simply didn’t occur to me at the time, but which now (with the benefit of having lived in this house for three years) I find a little annoying.
Overall, I am still pretty happy with the vast majority of my design decisions: for a total renovation amateur (it was my first ever project!) I think I did all right. But there are definitely some things I kick myself for not having considered at the time. I am here to confess to my renovation sins, so you can do better than me!
